We continue to have "updates" concerning Julia's case. We have suggested that YPD contact the Cold Case Foundation for some possible assistance. Not sure if this has been done.
Ypsilanti now has an Interim Chief who is Capt. Timothy Anderson. Since he became the I/Chief, he has been in contact with my entire family. We have had video meetings, and he is advancing Julia's case. He seems to be very dedicated to solving Julia's case and has done many things that show...
Well, it looks like Ypsilanti Police will need a new Chief as Chief Kirk Moore is retiring very soon! He has only been there since April of 2023 when he was hired. That means we will be dealing with a "new" Chief of Police once the city hires one. Since Julia's murder, there have been three...
Here's an interesting article about the Ypsilanti Police Department's current "problems". Now we know why no one is working Julia's case..... they have no detectives!

I posted this on Facebook and I'll post this here too. If anyone wants to send an email to Ypsilanti, please do. My entire family will continue our fight to have Justice for Julia. Below is my post...
Hi All, Here's a short update on Julia's case. Julia's mom, Kimberly, is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia. She has been fighting this since August of 2023. Concerning Julia's case..... On March 11th, we had a meeting with Chief Moore. My wife, Linda, and Rose (Julia's grandmother)...
The Nancy Grace video did get public exposure to Julia's case. Unfortunately, there were many false or incomplete facts presented during the video. I won't elaborate but just say there should have been better in-depth research done by her team prior to posting it.
The FBI or any outside organization must be invited or approached by the Ypsilanti Police Department. They have jurisdiction and in Michigan, they must request help. I have emailed the Attorney General as well as the Governor. They cannot help!
It has now been over eleven long years and still no real progress. The Ypsilanti Police Department (YPD) refuses any "outside "assistance from any organization. Why do they refuse help? We all know that there were some very telling mistakes made early on in the investigation but why have they...
The "new" Chief of Police has been on the job for quite a while now and still no updates on Julia's case. I hope YPD will find some outside assistance on her case.
The only detective listed on the Ypsilanti Police site is Scott Donley. He was in the Class of 2019 that graduated from the Washtenaw Community College Police Academy. He was hired by Ypsilanti on 10/1/2019. Not sure exactly when he was made a detective.
Here's an interesting fact from City-Data.com.....
"According to our research of Michigan and other state lists, there were 359 registered sex offenders living in Ypsilanti, Michigan as of July 10, 2023. The ratio of all residents to sex offenders in Ypsilanti is 58 to 1."
