    There are cameras EVERYWHERE on these ships. Not to mention the "medallions" that work as your room key and credit card which track your every step on board. If she was indeed murdered, there should be tons of evidence to work with.

    That was not so weird back then. My dad (b. 1950) and his siblings have sequential SSNs, because their parents didn't apply for them until years after all were born. They were rural, but not, like, mega rural.

    It's been very very dry. We actually had an (uncontrolled) forest fire last month for the first time that I can remember. But in the next 3 days we are getting several inches of rain. Going to be very hard to continue search efforts will all the weather that is coming.

    Wow, I expected the body found on Shack was most likely him, but the news that the police are treating it as a homicide is surprising. This certainly seemed like an accidental drowning in the beginning. Partial remains?? What the heck happened out there?

    If he was found on Shackleford Banks, then he must have floated there. It is a separate (though very close) island. I would be very interested to know whether he washed up on the sound or the ocean side. That could rule out rip currents.
