I noticed in the birthday video that she has markedly hypermobile joints. Her elbows extend well past the 180 degree line when she holds her arms out. That's probably why her hand looks odd or contorted, here.

Dontay is Devonte's older brother who the Harts rejected and would not adopt with the other siblings. And yes I think he was 9 at the time.

In Oregon, naturopaths (who are NOT medical doctors--they do not complete a hospital residency, they do not take the medical board exam, they go to a naturopathic school that does not teach all the things taught in a medical school) are given privileges they are not allowed in many other states...

I am from the West coast and husband is from the upper midwest. The "sir" and "ma'am" thing would stand out as VERY unusual in either place. It's part of how Jen ran the place like an abusive commandant instead of a mother.
