Hopefully the doctor friend called LE before he called MS back which could have tripped him up with his story. The doctor may not have mentioned that she was bludgeoned to death but since MS was involved (IMO), he could have let his knowledge slip while talking to police.

With a brutal murder, and likelihood for the need to perform additional forensic testing, I would want to make sure the body was preserved to put the killer away. Does LE ever attempt to intervene or persuade the family to avoid creamation...I wonder?
