I do not think he was specifically and intentionally giving the community a clue. I believe he was addressing a poi. He said as much. He also said they were investigating differently and the poi was a person who, when identified, would be a shock to the community.

I am pretty lost here. This is a difficult site to navigate and search and understand. I was reading a thread earlier and there were intermittent posts saying the thread would close in a certain amount of time. What is that about? Is there an FAQ page?

He was arrested on a weapons charge, I believe. He also had a kill list. Shortly before this, a companion died mysteriously in his company while camping at Mt. St. Helens. He is a violent paranoid schizophrenic.

There are others who were missing or killed around that time, and I hope the detectives look closely at them and don't dismiss them because of differences in age or mutilation. He could have changed up his methods, or even his hunting locations to avoid detection.

It is also harder to find skulls than other skeletal remains because rodents eat them.
