I never understood why Texas EquuSearch was not called in. I remember there being discussion about it early on, but it seems like Billie would not agree to it for some reason. It's been awhile, so I could be wrong. Does anyone else remember this?

She called her family from California some time after she was last seen and was sent a plane ticket...

I believe that Lake JB Thomas is actually in Scurry County, not Mitchell County, where Colorado City lies. And, Snyder is about 10 miles closer than Colorado City. So, why are the Colorado City police involved. Hmmm...

I find it very interesting that the story states that aerial surveillance showed the presence of FBI agents, Texas Rangers, and the COLORADO CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT.
