Any "different eyes" on the case is a good thing I suspect.
I highly doubt very much is going on at the moment, so handing it over to another group is the best we're going to get.
This is very sad to hear.
Her site has been the go to place for information about this case and if that's the legacy she left for a bunch of strangers around the world, I hope she knew we were and will continue to be grateful.

This is kind of the struggle I deal with here on WS. We each have our views but there's nothing being put on the line, so if we're wrong (and we usually are!), it doesn't matter...we were "just trying to help". There's pretty much always an excellent reason for us not knowing all the information...
It all feels rather like how when people think about a situation that they aren't comfortable recalling or retelling, they kind of add a BIT of the truth into the story.

So Burke was downstairs ON the night. Everyone else was in bed, but he got up to come downstairs. Was this downstairs or down into the basement? And did he say how long he was down there?
I think I need to watch more of that interview.
I guess I can accept that they might leave it behind in the heat of the need to get out of there. After all, I forget my sunglasses when I leave the house and I know I'll need them ;)

Each time I hear someone claiming it has to be an intruder, it really does feel like they've locked on to one of a few things;
a- A parent couldn't do that to their child
b- The DNA
c- There was a stun gun used.
Ruling out "a" is a no brainer because all sorts of people do all sorts...
And that's about it really, isn't it!
Looking at all the evidence, speculating what happened and who might have done it, who secreted what where and who did or didn't lick a paintbrush, really does come down to....
