    Thank you PommyMommy. My understanding is the same as your's -- it doesn't appear that prosecutors have decided whether or not to seek the death penalty. If that's accurate, "up to life in prison" is misleading in that it's not the most severe sentence/penalty MF could receive if convicted...

    RSBM I think there's a good possibility that MF was experiencing maternal desire psychopathy as well. She may truly believe that Margo is HER baby and came to view Heidi as an obstacle to be outplayed and eliminated. That might be part of the 'case complexity' cited by LE. MF obviously...

    Yeah, MF's mugshot(s) wasn't publicly released until after she was arrested, so the eyewitness couldn't have seen it in the media prior to Dec. 19th. It is possible that the eyewitness saw recent pics of Heidi on the news and was able to identify her as the woman who got into back of the car...
