Found Deceased NY - Avonte Oquendo, 14, Long Island City, 4 Oct 2013

I have no doubt that this is our beloved Avonte. I am grieving and will pray for his soul. So extremely sorry. Baby boy, my heart is so incredibly heavy that we, as a society, failed you so miserably. You and your sweet angel smile will always be in my thoughts until forever.

It was kind of you to have shared that. I hope that it resulted in a good outcome or at the very least, the comfort of closure. BTW, I am a mom of an ASD child too. You probably sensed it, no doubt. We are a harried bunch for sure, but always show solidarity for our own. The ASD community...

I hope the recent celebrity involvement and possible fresh infusion of donations translates into the family hiring the best private investigative help money can buy if the family feels NYPD's investigation has gone cold. I believe the public would help out to defray the cost of it for the...

HauntsforHope, MWAAAH!!! Thank you, thank you. You and your search engine are on fire!!! Lots of disinformation, unfortunately. I have spent so much time searching everything, looking for commonalities. Your info supports a theory I have which I can not share here. Haved shared it with LE...

HauntsforHope: I remembered your earlier post (see #183) in which you had indicated that his scent was traced to Van Dam St, not a "marshy area". I think you had written that you had gotten it from a Facebook page. All other accounts that I have read stated dogs had lost the scent near a...

Hogwash, While you are correct that not ALL autistic children do look smaller for their age, I did say most children with regressive type autism have failure to thrive issues. That does NOT mean they do not eventually grow to the size they were biologically destined to be. I did not...

BTW, not a sighting. If it were, I would be glued to the little guy, holding on for dear life and never letting go, calling 911 and shouting to the heavens that I'd found him. May or may not have useful info. NYPD is to be the arbitor of whether it might be useful or not. Wish to submit...

HulaMom The answer is no. The boy on train definitely does not appear to me to be AVonte. There is a resemblance but the young man on train looks at least 3 yrs. older than Avonte. Avonte looks very young for his age, as per all pix. This is actually quite common for autistic children as...

Tried to post anonymously online at NYC Crimestoppers today but received an error message. Social media websites for Avonte discourage sharing of info on their sites. Understandable. Anyone else experiencing problems with NYC Crimestoppers?
