I'm so glad you've gotten such an expedient response from both of those agencies! I have not had the same experience for cases where I have reported or attempted to submit information. So it sounds like they're taking it seriously. Thank you again, keep us posted!
Oh I'm glad you found the sister! I saw she had responded on a FB post some time back about Kimberly missing. The sister is quite striking to your recreations as well. Thank you for submitting, fingers crossed. If nothing else I hope she can be added to the rule out list. Even that helps...
I came here to say this too. The rendering likeness to Kimberly, height/weight, implants for both, and Kimberly's middle name being Ann - she could easily go by Anna. Of course, the fact that it's 20 years since Kimberly's disappearance to when the Jane Doe was found is concerning, but not...
I definitely love the train of thought, and don't disagree she could have been an immigrant having fled the trying times. If we are to believe her age range, mid teens, I often wonder if she wasn't with her family at all, and had fled or been sent here to work (or school?)? She was sent overseas...

50 years have now come and passed without any answers or resolution for Carol or her family. We're running out of time, as those involved continue to age and memories fade. I would love to help her family find peace with Carol's case one day in the near future. I believe it's very solvable.

It was just the 24 year anniversary of Sharon's disappearance on the 9th. I saw a Cooper's Hawk in my backyard that morning and thought maybe it was a sign from Sharon. She's always on my mind, and I am determined to bring closure for her loved ones one day.
I'm so happy to see DNA Doe Project take this case on! It's absolutely what is needed to push this Jane Doe into an identification. This case has driven me crazyyyy for so long, I will anxiously be awaiting an update!!
I haven't found anything publicly announced yet, but I did just send the cold case detective an email to see if there's anything further he's able to share at this time. I know so many of us are anxious about this one!

This John Doe was found in Gulfport, Mississippi on June 16, 1979. Michael is not on the ruleout list for comparison, and while there is a considerable distance, it's not unreasonable to wonder if he traveled down there during the...
Update! After many phone calls, emails, and jurisdictions, I did finally get the cold case detective working on Redbud's case. He said he is currently working with the ME's office in making an identification, and they are 'pretty certain'. He said the name they are working to confirm is not...
The medical examiner is the one who estimated her postmortem interval, dying likely in the late 50s. Other than the interval, there's nothing to indicate she couldn't have died EARLIER than the 50s. There's not much to go on, clue-wise. We have the neighborhood, her unique teeth overlap/pattern...
Little update: Called and followed up yesterday, left a message, and then received a call back today. Marissa told me that the better avenue would be to make a report with the sheriff's dept. I said I contacted the ME's because that was the contact info listed. All so confusing! So anyway, I'll...
This would be such a double edged sword - while it would be great to have answers about who Redbud JD is, it would be absolutely devastating for the family of William to know he didn't actually drown and this was his true ending.
And agreed about mental illness and mental health crises. They...
Have made a call in to the ME's office listed, and after being transferred twice, I'm now waiting for a call back from a superior who can access the file and take the report.
And @ChatteringBirds you're right, it definitely makes me think of the man faking his drowning death from the news last...
