I read the magnified article.

She lost the locket while ice skating. The Ice was cut out for people to use in ice boxes. When the Ice man delivered ice to her house her locket was in the cut out block.

That's an amazing story. Some good ones on that page. They had a different way of writing back then, and it's very interesting and fun to read. The train that came to dinner, and the ghost on Toll Gate Hill were quite entertaining.
