Officials at the Orange County Jail said a chaplain broke the news to Casey Anthony that her daughter's remains had been identified Friday.

"Inmate Casey Anthony is aware of the developments in her case," said Orange County Jail spokesman Allen Moore. "She was notified by a jail chaplain as is consistent with our policy. The notification came at approximately 1:45 p.m."

It's Caylee Marie. The five-month mystery ended today when authorities confirmed that skeletal remains discovered in woods last week belong to the missing two-year-old girl.

Sheriff's officials delivered the news at a 2 p.m. press conference in Orlando. Word came after the FBI forensic lab in Virginia matched Caylee's DNA with bones found a quarter-mile from her grandparents' home.

Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia said, "With regret, I am here to inform you that the skeletal remains found on Dec. 11 are those of the missing toddler Caylee Anthony."

CNN's Rick Sanchez offered his theory Friday afternoon: "I doubt there has ever been a story, at least in the last four or five years, that has gotten so much publicity. It's because, one would think, it's a young mother who is accused of killing her own child."

But a more potent answer could be found in a WKMG-Channel 6 montage of the toddler's pictures, set to music. (The station repeated the segment several times Friday evening.) Anchor Erick Weber said the little girl loved the color purple and could count to 45 in Spanish. The station's approach was sentimental, but extremely effective. Putting the focus on Caylee was appropriate.
