3 p.m. on June 29, 2014, Paul Shepherd, a 40-year old taxi driver, was shot to death on the job in Knoxville, Tennessee. Detectives believe robbery was the motive. Right before he was shot, the victim texted his daughter and said he was picking up two people who had flagged him down in front of a plasma donation clinic. The shooting occurred about 7-8 miles away on Daylily Drive, a housing project that has been the site of many murders over the years.

Witnesses told police they saw two African American males running from the crime scene. One was described as about 5'10", 170 lbs., medium build, short hair, wearing teal Polo shirt and khaki pants. The other suspect was described by witnesses as 5'8", 160 lbs., medium build, wearing an orange polo.

Detectives say people need to come forward because they know who these killers were. Sadly, the code of silence, fear of retaliation, and a culture of people who don't trust police have allowed two guys to get away with murder for four years.
