I am stunned. This is so tragic, really horrifying, yet I've never even heard about this before.
Thirty years ago, I was a 15 year old high school kid, growing up in Southern California, but it seems like I should have run across this while reading, sometime in the span of years since it happened.
I understand why it is now referred to as "The Forgotten National Tragedy".
