I don’t know, but if it were true that BF saw a naked man running inside the house, would she tell DM to run over to BF’s room?????? (According to their texts).

I’d think she’d be hysterical and tell DM “lock your door and don’t come out, there’s a naked man inside.”

JMO
Daily Mirror auto correct with no editing imo. DM becomes BF or BF becomes DM. "Masked" becomes "Naked". And absolutely, not supported by what we know. Why not in PCA? Not in the texts released. Not in any of the docs for Frank's, transcripts etc etc. moo

This is the first I'm hearing anything about BF seeing a naked man. But if there is any truth in it, could it have been a naked BK after removing whatever he was wearing while committing this crime to avoid getting DNA in his car. Just a thought. MO.

It is pretty tragic how victims who testify, end up being wrecked by zealous defense attorneys. I have personally experienced this. And have decided to never, ever put myself in that position again. It wasn't worth it for me.

Pretty sad statement on the effects of testifying in a case as a victim. Just like this witness, I did nothing but be in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
Sorry that happened to you. But it seems to me it's not just lay witnesses-- nobody is spared. Actual victims are often portrayed in a bad light in court. Things said may be true, often they are, but before the crime they weren't widely known. Experts witnesses may be ridiculed, defense attorneys certainly are unless they get a small break for essentially provided NO defense, DAs don't always get off either unless they are pretty vicious in more conservative areas, and extremely liberal in other areas. Jurors certainly don't get off easy. Their work and personal time is spent in court and if the verdict is unpopular, and it's eventually possible to know who the jurors were, they may get death threats. The whole system a good system IMO but it just isn't working well these days. But what government systems are, whether local, state or federal?

I think we'll see lots of unnecessary & unsavory stuff from both sides when this case goes to trial. Probably we'd see more now if not for the gag order.

COMES NOW, Dr of Chaos, local to Moscow, Idaho, to post occasionally on local social and geographical aspects related to the BK case. I have read a fair portion of the postings (you folks write faster than I can read) and have reviewed the site policies, which seem to boil down to: I shall be ok if I write MOO all the time (there are more MOOs at this site than John Dutton’s ranch). I have noted that a few other local people have posted here. So, to begin:

“The shopping is better in Moscow” (although I recall the quote of BK as reported in the press used “Idaho” instead of “Moscow”). One hears this statement so often, from Moscow and Pullman people alike, that it has practically become a local mantra. Pullman is somewhat shopping-challenged; the downtown area is separated from the university (WSU) by a creek valley that is not an attractive walk for students. Downtown Moscow by contrast has that “college town” feel; it is lively, has many student-oriented businesses (coffee shops, bars, sidewalk café restaurants, second-hand clothing, cute bookstore, bike store, backpacking/climbing store, etc.), and is an easy flat walk just a few blocks from the east edge of campus (UI). Main Street in Moscow is closed off to cars during the warmer months for a superb farmers market on Saturday mornings, with artisan booths, food trucks, and sometimes live music, along with booths featuring excellent local produce.

More important to the case at hand, the west end of Moscow has an indoor mall, with the tail ends of the mall capped by a small Target on the west and a terrific grocery store, WinCo, on the east. The WinCo store has been mentioned in postings here; what is noteworthy is that the store not only has the best prices in the region, it has a large collection of organic produce as well as bins full of bulk dry goods, like beans, nuts, and grains. We can surmise that our vegan criminology grad student spent some quality time here; there is nothing like it in Pullman. Moreover, the store is open 24/7, as has been pointed out in these threads. We can imagine that our insomniac vegan criminology student might have been here during odd nocturnal hours (but would have had to take long detours in the grocery aisles because many aisles at those hours are blocked by pallets full of goods being restocked on shelves).

The point is, BK had every innocent reason to be in Moscow often, even during weird hours. Many people from Pullman shop at WinCo.

So, what becomes important to the case are BK’s actual locations during those 12 occasions when his phone accessed cellular resources used by 1122 King Road, as described in the PCA, along with his car movements on the night of the murders when his phone was silent. We have seen the phone/location question debated here and elsewhere at length, with the answer being that “cellular resources used by 1122 King Road” can mean anything from “he was in Moscow” to “he was driving past 1122 King Road”. We will have to await the trial for a definitive answer. However, MOO MOO MOO, the defense legal team has telegraphed how damning the phone and video cam data are by their vigorous efforts to get that evidence suppressed.

But what really inspired me to post here is the recent list of records that the state has declared it intends to present as evidence in the trial:

022425-REDACTED-States-Motion-inLimine-RE-Self-Authentication-Records.pdf

The list is a treasure trove of information. Realize that the list is not for a search warrant, nor a list of things merely found with a search warrant, for either of which we would not know whether or not the information obtained was relevant to the case. Rather, this is a list of records that the state has obtained, reviewed, and concluded that they are relevant evidence.

Now, what could possibly be the relevance of shopping records of the female victims at the mall stores in Moscow, along with camera surveillance video, particularly at the Ulta makeup store, Jo Anns (fabrics, crafts, and gifts), PetCo, and Marshalls (clothing, gifts, kitchen/household stuff)?

I put that question to my partner, who frequents those stores. She replied instantly: “Creepy guys go to those stores to stare at and hit on women.”

The social media records and shopping records of the victims appearing on the list, we can surmise (MOO MOO MOO), place victims and suspect at the same places and same times on various days before the murders. For what other possible reason would these records be introduced in a murder trial, other than to document previous contact (possibly surreptitious stalking, unknown to victims) between suspect and victims?

Of course, any local person will see just about anyone else in WinCo a couple of times a year just by coincidence. Everyone goes there. MOO, the shopping records in the “Self-Authentication” list in the linked MiL above are not plausible as coinkydinks but rather will reveal a sinister buildup to Nov 13, 2022. Prepare to have your degree of creeped-out-ness taken to a new level in the trial.

In my next post (in a couple of days), I will explain how the local landscape might have affected the suspect’s escape from the crime scene.

Keen to hear your thoughts on the local landscape and exit options from 1122 King Road. I've had many thoughts about that myself, given the information that's available in PCA and other court docs. Looking forward!

Don't forget, you can JMOO and IMOO, too.

Jmo, I don't buy that BF saw anyone, let alone a naked man. IMO this report is all over the place, and likely a result of extremely poor auto correct and auto editing, if any at all, lol. Afaik, no other msm has ever made any independent corroboration of this 'news'. It's the Daily Mirror after all! Note that they are confusing BF with DM imo. IMO "naked" is typo for "masked". We'll see at trial for sure.
You are right, "nasked" would likely correct to "naked."

Yes. All my links say IGG leads to a family group, not a specific individual. Then the Genealogist uses their discernment to try to figure out who the suspect is within that family group. Unfortunately, there are times when the genealogist is wrong. It happens...and I have personally seen it happen.

I guess IGG could lead to one specific person in a really, really small family where there are no other possibilities, but that is really not the norm.

But the DNA did indeed match BK's.

Good post and I agree about the retail in Moscow verses Pullman. I would only add that the previous 12 visits placing BK near the house happened very late at night/early mornings. The only store open at that time (24 hours) would be WinCo, which carries food items, not retail merchandise.

I firmly believe BK was creeping/stalking during those visits to Moscow.

Thanks so much for the local point of view. It’s always so incredibly important to understanding cases and we really appreciate folks giving us that view. Seems very possible the defense will use that shopping evidence at Winco as you say. The creep may have been stalking some of the victims there. Some of those girls may have kept late hours, depending on class schedules. Not surprising for college students to do grocery shopping or snack runs late at night.

Looking forward to your next post.

Brilliant post. Dr of Chaos makes complete sense, pulling those records together.

Nexus.

I can already hear AT saying 'coincidence', I can hear the State saying "not stalking" because IMO the State will let the jury decide what to call it when they see nexus.

Next-level creeped-out-ness will morph into full horror movie if the State has CCTV of the defendant and even one victim in a local mart in the same frame.

Yes indeed. Also if I can bother looking through old threads to where affidavit by Bitoni, BF's attorney, was discussed and posted, I clearly recall there was nada, zilch in that about a naked man either. This is jmo whilst finding the links.
Just following up on this.

Above post regarding the naked man claim by the Mirror back from May 2nd 2023. In March of that year BF was subpoenaed to appear before the then PH scheduled for June. That was superceded by the GJ indictment in mid May.

Since then we have never heard another peep from the D about the alleged BF "exculpatory (info)on the basis of "information and belief". Never surfaced in Franks hearings. Moo

Defense investigator Bitoni affidavit makes no reference to a naked man. BF's lawyer pointed out in Motion to Quash the subpoena, that the defense provided nothing other than general, non-substantive conclusory statements to justify the subpeona.

Included in above:

22 March 2023; Affidavit by then defense investigator, Bitoni, in support of BF subpoena.

24th March 2023; Defense ex parte motion to secure certificate to compel out of state witness to attend PH then scheduled for June.

24th March; Judge Marshall issues certificate to secure witness attendance.

3rd April 2023; Request by Washoe, Nevada Public Defender for foreign subpoena, out if state Commission.

From above:

21 April 2023; BF Attorney, Kellie Anne Viloria, Motion to Quash Subpoena.

*From memory and just imoo, I believe BF may have agreed to be interviewed in Nevada by the defense at some point after the above events. If that is right, then again no relevant naked man statement appears to have arisen in subsequent defense filings after that possible interview. Jmo

This crap came up when BF was pressured by the defense to come to Moscow to testify in a hearing . She was accused of having information exculpatory to BK. One British tabloid spread the misinformation that there is an affidavit where BF said she ran face to face into a naked man who was running out through the sliding glass door that night.

No. DM saw BK fully dressed walking to the sliding glass door.

BF was accused of being terrified of going to Moscow in case she ran into this naked man again.

No. She was in Nevada and did not want to go all the way back to Idaho and was allowed by a judge to give her statement to the defense investigator at her home in Nevada.

Misinformation from the British tabloid the Mirror. The only source that reported this.

BF denies having exculpatory information regarding BK and if she had seen a naked man up close in all his naked glory face to face then seen him run out the sliding door, this would be in the PCA for sure.

Poppycock.

Agree, it came up again which is why I dug up the old discussion and links. I think the tabloid Mirror article may have been the result of an AI 'hallucination'; masked becomes naked, lol.

That makes sense. Thanks. And DM wrongly "morphs" into BF.

It’s too bad about your experience. Courts need honest citizens/witnesses with common sense (like you) to provide civic duty.

It’s unbelievable what defense teams do nowadays.

Trying a case in a court of public opinion seems to be the norm now, reason for delaying trial, and tainting the jury pool. The most recent filing stating the knife sheath "could have been planted by the real perpetrator” is ridiculous!

Families of the victims and the victims (BF & DM - true survivors) suffer unnecessarily.
