Honestly when I first looked at the selfie pic, the pose and creepy grin reminded me of Norman Bates from the movie Psycho..

Good catch Megnut. i will be glad when this trial is over and he is gone.I wonder if his shopping history on Amazon auto-populated ads on his family's internet due to the nature of shared accounts.
No one is going to think BK suddenly had an interest in hunting, camping or fish-fileting.
That knife is a weapon.

And good point about throwing something in with the purchase only he could use, I didn’t think of that!
Honestly given the context, that selfie is bone chilling, I’ve hardly been able to look at it again. One of those things that once you see it, can’t unsee it.

Was his hair even visible if he wore a balaclava, which it sounds like he did for a few reasons. One being so the majority of his face and hair wouldn't be visible should a witness see him. Also, to cut back on shedding any hairs at the scene which would give up his DNA. Like how food handlers are required to wear hairnets cuz people do shed.Sorry, I am just stuck and struck by the thumbs up selfie. I think he dyed his hair for some reason. Just a guess. To look different in the immediate aftermath?
I’ve considered that even if his plan was for one victim, once he saw he got away with it, it wouldn’t have mattered how many others he killed. he was in a psychotic state and enjoying his evil. Hence, the thumb-up selfie.I agree -- a quadruple murder is rare entry into capital crime. But if for two unknowns (that KG/Murphy would be there and XK awake and active), BK may have planned for and executed a single murder. And gotten more brazen from there.

It is a little fuzzy for me when i enlarge the footnote. Can anyone tell me what it says? thank you.Done.
State's Response, Amazon clicks
Look at the footnote.
Purchase confirmed.
Thank you Meg, missed that one or forgot I read it (so many documents, I’m still reading through and absorbing). Yup he’s toast!Post in thread '4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #102' 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #102
Footnote says it all.
What a coward BK turns out to be. Gets the victims when they are impaired or sleeping. No one able to fight back except maybe Goncalvez and Chaplin.
State's witness Michael Douglass--forensic accountant
State's witness Gary Dawson: The Defendant disclosed expert opinions claiming that more than one assailant was necessary in order to accomplish the homicides in the suggested timeframe offered by the State. Dr. Dawson will opine that the victim’s intoxication levels would have impaired their ability to resist, and for certain victims (as detailed in his report) it would have prevented them from putting up any resistance. These opinions support the argument that less time would have been needed to commit the homicides.
Thanks so much! It's easier to read if you click on the actual document, not what the OP pasted which is too small to make out, even if enlarged.

Trial length might be the only power AT holds. Insufferably long cross. The longer the trial languishes the more opportunities to lose jurors to illness, conflict, family emergency, breach. Mistrial might be her only salvation.Considering:
Almost all of what we knew about BK prior to January 2023 was in the PCA which collectively we have analyzed in great detail. That 6 weeks after the crime, consequence of a huge push by multiple LE departments.
We also knew that by Mid 2023, a huge volume of discovery had been exchanged.
Until all the motions started in Early 2024 we gained some information from MSM about BK's history, social difficulties and similar...BUT LE and the prosecutors office continued to investigate. Its now 27 months after the arrest,
Only in the last 4-5 months and due to the exchange of motions have we discovered much detail about what the prosecution knows, and is going to present.
And even more discovery has been exchanged over the 20 plus months between.
This is a circumstantial case, and it is not just that the volume of evidence is so great, it dovetails together in a very involved fashion. There will be a lot of experts presenting loads of dry data ....interspersed with a few emotive witnesses and gut wrenching testimony. Its going to be tough on a jury, partially because of the intense media interest; but also all those charts and tabular data will make it difficult for a person to maintain focus. Hopefully that strain won't devolve into boredom. Visual aids is going to be key; and the prosecution's closing arguments will be protracted.
I predict a very long trial. JMO
The single source DNA match in the 5+ Octillion range is BK's kryptonite, found on the murder weapon sheath underneath one of the victims that he purchased from Amazon, but there is also his car circling the area multiple times caught on surveillance, DM's ID, cellular data records, and BK's documented problems with females (students as TA, fellow classmates in HS, flagged as a 'creepy' diner in a restaurant..if it all comes in). Plus, what we don't know of yet.Considering:

It will be a lengthy trial I agree, but I don't think it will be 3 months. I also don't think Judge BY THE BOOK Hippler is going to allow any shenanigans either. Isn't it slated for six weeks for the trial and six weeks for the penalty phase? It will be a lengthy trial I agree, but I don't think it will be 3 months. I also don't think Judge BY THE BOOK Hippler is going to allow any shenanigans either. Hah

I'm not sure how it is slated time wise. I could see the penalty phase taking longer because of the DP, but as long as the trial seems unlikely to me. I won't bet eating my fav golf visor on that though.Isn't it slated for six weeks for the trial and six weeks for the penalty phase?

Seems like eons ago now, but iirc Hippler was trying to schedule it so jurors with children could enjoy some summer, providing a break between the trial and the DP portion. Does anyone else remember it this way? And AT didn't want the break, and wanted more time to prepare which Hippler rejected, saying essentially if you can already predict needing more time, work faster.I'm not sure how it is slated time wise. Seems like something was batted around about that, but I don't recall the specifics. That is a long time for any juror to be away from family, plus they are sequestered. Anybody remember this hearing?

With some of the most hairy and bushy eyebrows known to mankind. Just sayin'.To me that's the creepiest part. He looks like a vampire.
