Do we know if he is left handed? Thumbs up is left hand. Not that both hands might be impacted by alleged actions he took in committing murders. OMO. All alleged.

Sometimes selfies are switched to a mirror image, you see it at lot with people posting engagement pics and the ring appears to be on the wrong hand.
It's possible that's why it appears it's his left hand in the picture. JMO.

Photo looks like a younger, slimmer Herman Munster.
That is EXACTLY who it looks like! I have been trying to figure out since last evening, who it looked like, and I kinda wanted to make the mouth and grin PeeWee Herman-ish, but you nailed it! Unfortunately, Herman was a nice man who just looked like a monster. This BK looks like the devil incarnate. JMO

Yes we would never be able to know if it's his left or right or mirror image or flipped by the camera or not unless we know how the bathroom looks in reality.

Re his hair. I wonder if being a 'criminal mastermind' he had used some sort of substance to fix his hair really in place like a strong set hair gel and maybe even ditto with his eyebrows, so that he wouldn't shed a hair or brow.

Also I wonder if the pic motivation was also to confirm 'well, hey here's me looking totally casual of a Sunday morning, just giving the thumbs up to my church group fellows and please note I'm clean and tidy and well and didn't just murder four people'. In case there was zero evidence against him and in due course an officer asked after his whereabouts that day... he would say hmmmm gosh I don't recall but lets look on my camera roll see if there's any pics I took. Oh look here I am off to my church group.

Sorry if it's been mentioned, trying to get caught up on the thread.

So he bought the knife via Amazon in April but didn't move to Moscow until the summer. Safe to assume at that time he didn't have specific victims in mind? He planned to be a murderer to someone, anyone that Fall and then set out to plan it?
Or...
I seem to recall social media records were requested back to that timeframe of 2022. Maybe he matched with one of them on a dating app, got spurned and then set out this plot ?

Yeah, I think he was in the fantasy stage at that point, and didn't have specific targets in mind. That's why he wasn't concerned about leaving a trail. I do not believe there was a social media connection, nor do I believe there ever was one.

State's witness Gary Dawson: The Defendant disclosed expert opinions claiming that more than one assailant was necessary in order to accomplish the homicides in the suggested timeframe offered by the State. Dr. Dawson will opine that the victim’s intoxication levels would have impaired their ability to resist, and for certain victims (as detailed in his report) it would have prevented them from putting up any resistance. These opinions support the argument that less time would have been needed to commit the homicides.

I don't know why, but this was the first thing on my mind when I woke up this morning. :(

Sadly, I think in that simple sentence we have the answer to the question that many wondered about--how was BK able to overpower Ethan who was so much bigger. And how could BK have attacked Xana without Ethan going after him.

I think many of us here on WS have always felt this was the answer and without putting any blame or shame. I hope the general public will also withhold judgement and not cause the Chapin family additional pain over it.

I seem to recall digital evidence was introduced into evidence for some of the victims and BK from the winter/spring of the year. IIRC, it was curious because it was before the school year started and before BK was in Idaho. I would have to take a look for it. Regardless I agree that there was no connection and BK was trying to plan out a 'perfect' murder.

I think E was killed before X

It makes sense for a couple reasons. He represented the biggest threat in the room, and it makes sense of what DM heard in regards to the attacker saying he was going to "help her." He had the time to say that, which he wouldn't have if there was a threat to him.

I think hair looks darker because, IMHO, he is fresh out of the shower and it is still wet.

Yah, I bet the defense doesn't want the jury to see those eyebrows in that picture, from the hours after the murders. Nope, not bushy at all, move along.
And the shower curtain …. Visible. Remember it was removed when he left campus. Not typical for a tenant to remove the shower curtain in university housing.

Do we know what was visible from the hallway? Was the door closed, ajar?

NO ONE wants to barge in on a boyfriend and girlfriend in bed. Could it be that HJ had to look under the door, could see/reach only part of XP? Maybe felt her skin? Is it only assumed that he saw EC? EC may have been completely obscured by the bed, although I don't know how the bed was oriented in relation to the door.
I believe the foot of the bed was closest to the door and that the head of the bed was against the wall that the blood dripped down (opposite of the window/North side of the room). Just like how it's shown on the blueprint of the layout (pic 1). It makes the most sense so the window isn't blocked (it's nice to lay in bed and look out the window). Also, the closet is on that side next to the window.

I'd describe X's room as a fat upside down L shape.

She could have had a Queen size bed (60 x 80 or 6' 8") which would give her 2' 3" between the side of the bed and the wall. Otherwise a Double (54 x 75) which would give her more space between the bed and the wall).

If a Queen, and the room length is 13' 4" (so 160"), the length of a Queen bed fills exactly half the length of the room.
Did HJ shoulder the door open and that's then how LE found it, making XK visible to LE from the hallway when that wasn't the case immediately for HJ? If moving the door, say, pushing it open, caused XK's body to move/fall, HJ would have seen a horror show, and IMO would account exactly for how he responded --
It's my opinion that Xana was blocking the door/fell against it after BK was out of the room. That would mean that HJ likely shouldered it open, sliding her body across the floor. She might have gotten wedged between the door and the foot of the bed since it appears, from the BP, that the foot is partially where the door opening is. He then left the door open when they ran "Get out! Get out!".
