Excellent post!!Tunnel vision occurs when investigators (or defence lawyers) pick a theory, or suspect, and build a case around that person (theory) while undervaluing evidence that contradicts that theory.
Correct investigation methods are based on following the evidence, regardless of where it leads.
Kohberger was arrested as a result of following the evidence. A specific white vehicle was seen circling the house on the night of the murders. CCTV footage was used to track that vehicle before and after the murders. Specific details about the vehicle (make, model, year, missing front licence plate) were used to narrow the suspect list. The vehicle was identified. The owner was investigated. DNA from the owner matched evidence (sheath) left at the murder scene. The item (related to murder weapon) containing DNA evidence was directly connected to the suspect.
Theories about alternate suspects are based on tunnel vision. That is, a suspect is chosen and a theory is concocted based on wrapping vague evidence around that suspect while ignoring evidence that does not support the theory.
"Tunnel vision in the criminal justice context can be described as a tendency of participants in the system, such as police or prosecutors, to focus on a particular theory of a case and to dismiss or undervalue evidence which contradicts that theory. This mental process leads to “…unconscious filtering in of evidence that will ‘build a case’ against a particular suspect, while ignoring or suppressing evidence respecting the same suspect that tends to point away from guilt.”...Confirmation bias is a powerful psychological process that causes an individual to unconsciously prefer information that supports a conclusion that they have already settled on and to disregard or be overly sceptical about information that contradicts that conclusion."

Completely true. And each thing could have been gathered or leaked at different times. There were rumors of people getting their own copies of videos directly from the owners of said cameras long before the gag order. So what if the rumors were true? Plus I'm sure everyone on the 911 call had things they told their friends, who told their friends and so on. But as I said, we will see. However, as far back as Nov 29 BK is identified as owner of white Elantra by WSU police.
And in M00 I believe the FBI surveillance team was tasked with following BK as he drove across the country. And at one pont they "lost him" almost as soon as he started his journey. Because he drove south, a route not expected for a trip to PA.
All of which was before Dec 31st.
Wow my head is spinning, good questionsCouple of questions. If Bryan traveled back with the original driver, the driver didn't notice the blood? Or is it assumed BK de coveralled before arriving at vehicle? Did the driver not think it odd BK was dressed in coveralls when went in and not when he came out? (Only way I can think of not being covered in blood). If BK took another car, the other driver had BKs phone and turned it on again? Or BK followed his own car out of Moscow, left the second car somewhere on the trip out and was picked up by his own car before arriving back at his apartment parking lot?
Tia.
BBMI really don't believe drugs were involved at all. I would need to see proof. A link that BK was busted for heroin ever. Even something former friends said to indicate he was busted. They all said he went to rehab, got clean, he said he'd never use again. Then he went to college and did well. Search warrants only revealed a "leafy green substance" found. No drug paraphernalia found at all. Not even a bong or whatever is used.
I think he has a very serious personality disorder, and maybe aided by pandemic restrictions, he spiraled and circled the drain and became more twisted in his isolation. Fantasy replaced reality. But this guy was no informant.
True! Anyone with an instagram, youtube or tiktok channel can put on their Mr/Ms Investigator Hat, declare themselves a prosecutor (persecutor), and zero in on some poor innocent soul who has no defence. It gives the broadcaster the attention they crave.BBM
Except nowadays it’s social media influencers and their followers who have the tunnel vision, who suffer the most from confirmation bias.
The problem is that the cops have access to the actual evidence, and the SM influencers don’t.
I get it, the police can be corrupt. But the SM influencers who spread conspiracy theories for clicks are corrupt, and I wish they could be held to account for the harm they cause.
My opinion is the restaurant owner wanted any distance from the fray wether true or not, idkBut it's never been reported beyond that one People magazine article, every other publication was just repeating what People had said.
And the restaurant manager was fast to deny it.

Restaurant where two Idaho murders victims worked denies Bryan Kohberger rumours
Jackie Fischer, owner of the Mad Creek, slammed a report that claimed Mr Kohberger had eaten at the restaurant twice in the weeks leading up to the murderswww.independent.co.uk
The restaurant has been closed for a while now, and yet no one else, not even the original 'source', has come forward to claim they remember him for their fifteen minutes and their pay day from the Mail, etc?
I think it's more likely he was never there.
MOO
They also saw the DD driver leave on camera and not return. Maybe even delivered something right after.Xana ordered the door dash as confirmed by LE investigators. Any other theory is pure fantasy IMO. The DD driver was interviewed and investigators had access to XK's accounts and transactions. Jmo
The simplest explanation is usually what I go with. He saw someone pull up, freaked out, looped around and decided to comeback and attack. M00Maybe there could be some possibility BK imagined that the DD was a drug delivery drop off.
I don't know about Idaho but where I live, that's how people get their stuff brought to their door. JMO
Brian Entin spoke with Dr. Katherine Ramsland and she denied Howard Blum's claims
Could he have been asked not to discuss BK’s visits? I also seem to remember a smoke shop? employee stating that the girls had stated they had a stalker. I think I watched an interview. Then there was the juggler, I wonder if anyone who was part of the case in the beginning will resurface at trial. How many surprises will there be?My opinion is the restaurant owner wanted any distance from the fray wether true or not, idk
Not all owners are on site daily and nightly, some don’t live nearby. He certainly could have worn a mask & hat, it’s cold in Idaho
