I remember when I first started to be on the site, trying to figure out the abbreviations. Someone on this site had just lost their husband. I thought the LOL meant lots of luck. I was terribly embarrassed when someone pointed out that it meant laugh out loud.

This made me LOL. I get it, though @lonetraveler. I thought "brb" meant someone was announcing on the thread they were burping. How in the hell I thought that is beyond me.
