I've not seen any of the tributes mention his part in Watership Down. To many from my era, John Hurt was Hazel. That voice then became instantly recognisable, in many wonderful parts in TV and film, for decades to come. The author of the book Richard Adams also passed away, just last month.

RIP Sir John. Run free with the black rabbit
