This never used to happen. Airlines used to have custodial staff who came on planes to clean up something like that before the flight continued or the plane was used again. JMO the airlines are just pinching pennies while earning record high profits.

crew should not have boarded anyone until that plane was spotless

This was a story I had seen last month. This one was Air France. The airline clearly knew of the blood because when the crew radioed about it, the airline knew all about it. Can you imagine if you ran a restaurant and tried to get away with just leaving blood and feces and vomit laying around? Your local health department would close you down and not let you reopen until inspections are passed.
