According to the Associated Press, Alaska State Troopers say a Wasilla man is suspected of killing his girlfriend and their seven-week old son.
Twenty-four-year-old Christopher Kevan is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 26-year-old Brandie Burns and infant Ashton Burns. He remains under guard in Valley Hospital undergoing treatment for self-inflicted injuries to his chest.

A jury earlier this fall found Christopher Kevan, 25, guilty of murdering 26-year-old Brandie Burns and their son Ashton in their home in October 2005...

Cutler sentenced Kevan to 99 years for each count of first-degree murder. The sentences will run consecutively.
