Fairbanks police looking for missing 10-year-old boy

Fairbanks police are asking for help in locating a 10-year-old boy who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release, one of Dustin Young's parents told police the boy left his Birchwood Homes residence about 4:30 or 5 p.m. Wednesday after walking home from Nordale Elementary School.

Young was last seen walking east away from his house wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes. His mother has checked or called all known friends and his whereabouts are not known.
