Circumstances of Disappearance John Koezuna was reported missing by a family member. He had left a note at the family cabin indicating that he was going to walk to Nome, AK from Cape Wooley. John is known to go on long walks and is familiar with the area, but extensive searches could not locate him.

Search continues for man missing northwest of Nome
The search continued Wednesday for a man missing northwest of Nome after he set out for the Norton Sound city Dec. 20 on a long walk from a family cabin on the coast, according to Alaska State Troopers.
