Fairbanks Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of 29-year-old KARA STEVENS.

Today, January 30th, 2024, Fairbanks Police received a report of a missing adult female. Twenty-nine-year-old Kara Stevens of Fairbanks was reported missing by her family.

She was last seen on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, around 12:00pm near 25th Avenue and Bjerremark Street.

Kara is a Native female and was last seen wearing all black layered clothing with a hooded under jacket, black boots with fur on the top, and black ski pants.

Her hair is currently reported to be long shoulder-length brown hair with blonde tips.

Kara is not believed to be dressed for the cold temperatures, does not have a known secure residence, and her current whereabouts are not known.

It's now -22F in Fairbanks. I really hope that Kara is somewhere safe and warm!

Good golly! I cannot imagine -22F. It's around 44F here in NC, and I don't even like that... (I'm a wimp in the winter time.)
Black ski pants and the rest....the clothes do help guard against getting wet and they're pretty warm when you're skiing, but when you're just walking around outside, IMO you need more.
Where could she have gone?
Are relatives or friends close by? Hoping she is warm, inside, and with good people.

It's a kinder way of saying "homeless" or "transient". She was also reported as missing in mid November with no reports of her being "found" that I would find so I'm not sure what generated the second much later missing report but that one stated she WAS seen on January 20. Looks like she's been found as of February 1st! Good news... seeing a Native woman gone missing always makes me fear the worst. I hope she's okay and gets any assistance she needs/wants.
