According to NamUs, Kelly Marie Hunt, 19, of Anchorage, Alaska, was last seen on foot in the area of 32nd Avenue and Oregon Drive at around 0600 hours on January 7, 2026. According to the Alaska State Troopers Missing Persons Poster, she was reported missing on January 11, 2026 at 1643 hours.
She is identified as an American Indian/Alaskan Native of unknown tribal affiliation. She was last seen wearing a dark jacket with dark pants. She is 5'4, 155 lbs., and has no known tattoos, marks, or scars.
In an article from Your Alaska Link, there is a note at the bottom of the web article: "Police note that to remove someone from missing status, they must first be located and contacted in person by an officer."
A GoFundMe was created in Hope's name. According to the information in this GoFundMe, "... she was on her way back to college in Soldotna but never arrived, and it is completely out of character for her not to call or text her family. Since that day, the family have not heard from her, and her phone now goes straight to voicemail. [...] She left behind her suitcase, purse, wallet, and a significant amout of cash, and is believed to have only had her phone with her when she disappeared. Hunt/Jackson family is extremely worried, as Kelly is someone who stays in close contact with the family every day. [...] We are raising funds to hire a private investigator in Anchorage who can dedicate time and resources to finding Kelly." The organizer of this fund is a person named Kristin Paniptchuk. It is unclear how or if the organizer is related to the family.
