Huntsville police are looking for Antonio "Tony" Moore, who was reported missing on Sept. 1. Moore, 38, is between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall and between 210 and 220 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and possibly carrying a black backpack. Moore is retired Navy and a student at UAH.

Family of missing Navy veteran speaks out

The UAH student lives in Executive Lodge Apartments in Huntsville.

UAH professors, gym employees, and neighbors all verify the same dates Moore was last seen, August 27-28, which is the same timeframe when Tiffanie, Terrance, and other relatives had last heard from him.

Relatives say it was not uncommon not to hear from him for days as he submerged himself in his studies; but concern began when his daughter hadn't heard from him.

Dimitri Merci Jackson, 29, is facing a murder charge after the body of Antonio "Tony" Moore was found in a wooded area in Heard County, Georgia on September 23.

Both were full-time UAH students in the electrical engineering program.
