Autumn Paige Strickland

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Monday issued a missing and endangered alert for Strickland and said she may be living with a condition that impairs her judgment.

On Tuesday, police announced the arrest of 28-year-old Logan Rogers.

Capt. Jason Fort said the investigation into Strickland’s disappearance indicates that she was intentionally struck by a vehicle. She has not yet been found.

“Our detectives are actively pursuing multiple leads and processing scenes in an effort to locate her,” Fort said.

Rogers is being held in the Lawrence County Detention Facility on $1 million bond. Authorities have not disclosed the relationship between Rogers and Strickland.

What is the condition Autumn has which impacts her judgment? Who is Logan, her boyfriend?

I wonder if the suspect was drunk when he hit her. She was reported missing on Sunday, and he might have been drinking late Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Thanks for the update. I couldn't find any relationship between the two online - I assume they knew one another. If it had been an accident while out for the evening, the charges would have been manslaughter, not murder. Not the outcome hoped for but I'm glad he's in custody.

From the article:
According to court documents obtained by WAFF 48 News, Rogers is accused of hitting Strickland with his vehicle, a 2012 Kia Soul, on May 17.

Investigators say intent was displayed in the incident, as Rogers allegedly circled back after the initial strike and struck the victim again with the car.

Rogers is accused of coming back to the scene 30 minutes later with a pickup truck and picking up the body of the victim.

You (or someone you know that lives there) must go in person to the court to look at the court records for each county in AL (they don't make it easy) OR in Marion County request them by mail from the county clerk (there is NO fee but you must included a stamped self addressed mailing envelope large enough for the records). In Marion County he has over a dozen cases in district/criminal/traffic court. Record info at: Marion County - Twenty-Fifth Circuit Court of Alabama

A very recent case:

Case 49-CC-2025-000026.00
Indicted 4-17-2025
Notice of Arraignment 5-5-2025

He was released on bond $21,500.00
Case was withdrawn.

Charges: 001 DV3H 05/15/2025 MISDEMEANOR 13A-006-132 -HARASSMENT 002 TERR THREATS 05/15/2025 DOM VIO 3RD

What is really interesting is the note in the court records that his parents have a PFA (protection from abuse) order in place
(see screenshot from court records attached) so their address was redacted from the court records that the defendant could conceivably have access to. A woman with his last name was the primary witness (mother, perhaps, IMO, unverified). Then the case was withdrawn with the PFA in effect. I wonder if someone in his family brought about and then withdrew the charges or if they were witness to something involving another party.

Another case that is concerning is a domestic violence charge that resulted in an Order of Protecion by his wife which was granted in 2022.
For search purposes - His date of birth is 12/1/1996
Case No. DR-2022-000036.00
Marion County - Order of Protection filed 6/3/2022
Order was granted 6/10/2022
Contested Divorce Case No. E DR-2022-900064 in effect.

How awful 🙁

According to investigators, Strickland’s body was found in a burn barrel on Rogers’ property. It’s believed that he tried to burn her body.

A few weeks later, she saw the same man’s face on social media, charged with crimes involving a missing woman, Strickland.

“I looked at the mug shot and then compared to my picture and I didn’t even have to compare it like I just immediately knew… it was just a surreal moment because that moment that it happened to me I was scared but then I just took it to a whole different level of like wow I escaped something so much worse than I could’ve even imagined,” Bradley said.

“I know it wasn’t necessarily in my control that somebody did get murdered and I didn’t, but it definitely made me feel like I could’ve pursued it further so he could’ve gotten caught,” Bradley said.

The Florence Police are still investigating Strickland’s death, and as for Rogers, he is currently being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bond

July 14, 2025 - this article indicates they were strangers.

[…]

There is a video of her running down Wood Avenue and Rogers hitting Strickland with her own vehicle. He abandoned the vehicle near Helton.

[…]

I wonder how he was driving her car if they were strangers...
Also from the article...

Connelly said Rogers got a ride to return to get his truck on Court Street, where he then returned to get her body.

What the heck? He hit her with HER car, got a ride (from whom?) to get his truck to return to remove her body. What the what led up to all this?

A bit more info:
Connolly said Strickland checked into the Stricklin Hotel Friday evening before going to The Boiler Room, the hotel's bar. She reportedly left the bar around 1:50 a.m. Saturday. He confirmed security footage captured her around 2:08 a.m. running down North Wood Avenue before being struck by her vehicle twice.

The Stricklin Hotel is a 4 star hotel with good reviews on Google, and it's not super cheap. It doesn't seem like a place where one would find trouble. Very odd story.
