AL AL - Bryan 'Rusty' Dorminey, 43, Chilton County, 24 March 2016

The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking further information regarding the disappearance of Bryan Russell “Rusty” Dorminey, 43, who was last seen traveling on his motorcycle on March 24, 2016.

Dorminey was reportedly in the vicinity of Alabama Highway 145 and County Roads 51 and 448.

He has brown hair and blues eyes, weighs 160 pounds and stands at 5 feet, 8 inches tall.

“If anybody has any information regarding this case, please come forward and let us know,” Sheriff John Shearon of CCSO said.

Having too few leads, the case remains under investigation as Dorminey’s family awaits answers.

“We just want some closure for the family,” Shearon said. “And if anybody can help us out there — the community helps us about a lot of different things, and if they can help us with this, we’d greatly appreciate it.”

Shearon said information can be submitted by phone or in person to the Sheriff’s Office, or through a secret witness line.

It can also be emailed to [email protected].

“Somebody’s going to know something that, if they come calling, it might get us a little closer to what happened … it could just be some little something that solves the case,” he said.

Yes, it’s a pending case. They only had few leads and are looking for more information.

It does not state if his motorcycle disappeared also? Or was his bike found on the road? Does family or anyone know where his destination to where he was traveling too? Any bridges or curves that he could of accidently drove off of maybe into water?

During an investigation, an active meth lab was discovered in a room at the hotel.

Tina Leane Hope was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $50,000.

Also arrested was Bryan Russell Dorminey on charges of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $15,000.

“These two characters took advantage of a local business to conduct illegal activity,” said Stilwell. “Now, this business has a mess to clean in order to make this room safe to rent again.”

In the original Sheriff’s Office post from 2016, it says this:

Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon said no further information could be released based on the nature of the case, but asked anyone with information to contact his department.
