One of the shooters (now charged with capital murder) was a player on #4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide Basketball. Being charged with capital murder, he his off the team.

But wait, the Crimson Tide's super star and projected top NBA draft pick was in directly involved (brought gun to the two shooters). He cant be charged criminally, but could still face suspension from the team.

- The super star is desperately needed (scored 40 points in most recent game)
- Coach refuses to suspend him (initially did not even admit that Miller was involved).
- Coach then claims Miller did not know there was a gun in the car he brought to the shooting scene (despite texts directly stating that he did).
- Coach then reassures everyone that the superstar is ohh so on the team and will be playing.

The killing in question is the January 2023 shooting of Jamea Harris, who was fatally shot during a gunfight between Michael "Buzz" Davis and the victim's boyfriend, a man named Cedric Johnson.

What may have been a relatively routine case was made into worldwide news by Davis's lifelong friend and now co-defendant - former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles.

As the Thread has extensively reported, Miles and other members of the Alabama basketball team were on the Tuscaloosa Strip celebrating a home win over the LSU Tigers on January 15th, 2023. His friend Michael Davis had a short verbal altercation with Cedric Johnson, who was downtown with Harris, her female cousin and three other men.
