None of the articles say anything about cause of death being apparent or not but one of the links in the OP calls it a crime scene... So it was a homicide?

if they don't know yet if the remains are male or female then I am not going to speculate. I checked the names with Namus and Lions, Parnell and Watson are not entered in that system.
