On March 7, 2020, skeletal remains were found in a building on New Castle Road.
The remains have been examined, but the identity of the person is not known. The coroner’s office is asking that anyone who believes they know who this person is to call them at 205-930-3603. The remains are believed to belong to a white male, between 40 and 60 years of age. They were approximately 5’6″ to 5’9″ tall, with a small frame.
Earlier in his life, it appears the decedent had orthopedic hardware installed to repair a broken bone in his right lower leg, and he had also fractured his left 9th rib at some point. He also had all of his natural teeth except for his wisdom teeth.
