Turns out the remains are a man, so Lori hasn't been found. However, they did mention this being related to a missing persons case.

Update - Remains Identified as Paul Metroplos, 34 of Opelika, AL

Metroplos had been missing since August 20, 2009. He was reported missing from a mental health facility in Opelika. A search at the time of his disappearance did not turn up any clues at the time. His remains were located last Thursday by workers of Alabama Power company approximately 200-300 yards from the facility he was last seen from. Evidence collected at the scene and all other history and forensic tests indicates he died from asphyxia due to hanging and the manner of death has been ruled a suicide. The case is being considered complete by the Opelika Police, Lee County Coroner, and the Alabama Dept. of Forensic Sciences.“
