missing Alexander City woman Quanisha Davis.

Alexander City Police announced in a Facebook post that Quanisha Davis, 30, was reported missing by her family and has not been heard from since May 16.

I find that info confusing and somewhat unhelpful. Is she voluntarily missing or is she in danger?
It doesn't say, but normally if they believe she is in danger the missing information has the words to that effect. Looks like from the timeline of the first police report that about a week passed between her last being seen and reporting to the police. Since she has children that seems odd, but perhaps she doesn't have custody or is sometimes out of communciation with her family. I know when I was that age, I sometimes didn't talk to my family for a week or so, if I was busy with work. I do wish we had more info.

If she is truly in trouble I'd like to know that from her family and friends. The comments seemed more like gossip. Sometimes LE doesn't see the danger when an adult is missing.

I think there are at least two trolls on the thread who are commenting and have zero to do with anything. They are attention seekers. MOO

DADEVILLE, Ala. (WRBL) -The search for missing Alexander City woman Quanisha Davis has ended in tragedy, says Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett. Davis’ remains were located Thursday morning in a wooded area off of Herren Street in Dadeville, Alabama.

Early this morning, at approximately 7:45 AM, Davis’ remains were located, leading authorities to transition the missing person case to a homicide investigation.

Sheriff Jimmy Abbett of Tallapoosa County announced Robert Lee Young, 55, of 243 Aster Street, Dadeville, was arrested and charged with murder. Young, who was in a dating relationship with Davis, remains in the Tallapoosa County Jail pending a bond hearing scheduled for later this week. Investigators say at this time they cannot comment on the evidence that led to Young’s arrest.
