The Gadsden Times: No leads in search for missing man

More than a week has passed since family members have seen or had contact from William Junior Densmore, 81, and their concerns continue to grow.

Family members met with Gadsden police on Monday to update the case. They now say police told them they plan to start questioning people soon in the case, and that they do not consider his disappearance to be foul play...

Powe also says family members, friends, and interest members of the public will gather Saturday morning at 11 in the parking lot of the East Gadsden Walmart.

They'll then split up and search Densmore's route, all the way to Leesburg.

Densmore has been the pastor of Lineville's Eldred Street Church of Christ for the past 18 years.

He may be traveling in a 1989 blue Jaguar with a sunroof with Alabama tag 6W7L4.

Those interested in helping with the search are asked to gather at the East Gadsden Walmart, 340 East Meighan Blvd. at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Family members hope to conduct a search into Cherokee County, even going door to door in the Leesburg area.

Densmore is described as a black male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, approximately 222 pounds, brown eyes and gray or partially gray hair. He was last seen wearing light-colored pants, a camouflage jacket and a baseball cap.

Rev. Densmore's car was found upside down in a culvert along US Hwy 411 this afternoon. The body "found inside, with clothes matching the description of clothes last worn by William Densmore Jr." has been sent for an autopsy to Huntsville, Alabama for a positive identification.
