That Oct 28 post gave me chills as well. . . . This article further states that the "evidence" to foul play that was referenced in the article you linked was her car being found with bloodstains in it. It further said a POI was in custody (on other charges) but no name has been released.

A Montana man has been charged with murder after he admitted he strangled a missing woman, put her body in a suitcase, and disposed of the suitcase in a dumpster in Great Falls.

A Great Falls sanitation truck picked up trash from the dumpster and deposited it in a landfill northeast of the city, KPAX reported.

Alicia Wood, 46, was reported missing on November 30, the station said. She was last seen on November 22.

William Glenn Olson, 29, was initially questioned about Wood’s disappearance on December 2, when he told detectives he’d last seen her on November 10. After telling the investigators he had no idea where she was, he refused to answer any further questions without an attorney.

The next day, investigators learned that Olson had several warrants for his arrest, including one for violating conditions of his release on a domestic violence assault, KPAX said.

CASCADE COUNTY, Mont. – The search for Alicia Wood, a 46-year-old woman from Conrad, has been suspended by the Cascade County Sheriff's Office. Wood was reported missing on November 30, 2024, after last being seen on November 22, 2024.

Over nine days, the Cascade County Sheriff's Office and its partners searched through roughly three football fields worth of garbage, but Wood has not been found.

The investigation is ongoing and will continue under the leadership of the Pondera County Sheriff's Office and DCI. The Cascade County Sheriff's Office will assist in any way possible to find Wood.

"As I said at the beginning of our search, this is just one lead in this investigation. I'm confident that the Division of Criminal Investigation will

I'm not sure what the national stats are on landfill searches, but I would say based on cases here at WS - recovery is around 25-30%. Kudos to CCSO & it's partners for trying to find Alicia.

Olson told officers that he and Wood had been arguing at her home when the dispute escalated and he killed her by strangling her in a headlock, according to the affidavit. He then allegedly placed Wood’s body inside a hard-sided suitcase he found in her closet and put it in the trunk of her car.

Olson allegedly told police he left the suitcase in a dumpster in Great Falls, near a local elementary school. According to the affidavit, sanitation trucks collected the trash from the dumpster on Nov. 27, and Wood’s body would have been offloaded at the landfill the following day

Authorities have arrested 29-year-old, William Olson in connection with her disappearance and charged him with deliberate homicide after court documents say he admitted to killing Wood and putting her body in a suitcase and dropping it off in a dumpster. An omnibus hearing is scheduled for January 27 at 10:00 a.m., according to the Pondera County Clerk of Court.

"I know that this is not how she wanted to go. I feel like Alicia had a bright future ahead of her, and I feel like that was taken from her," said Gabrielle Rosson, Wood's best friend of 30 years
