Any Experience Setting Up A Gofundme Page for Someone Here?

Hi gang, basically what I would like to do is setup a gofundme page for a family that can use some donations for funeral costs etc....the problem is i am not associated with them but feel a need to help out whichever way i can. Now i know you can set it up on there to have the funds sent directly to them but my question is....do i need to contact the family in some way in order to get their email address or something for them to get the donations directly? it would seem kind of strange to try to contact them by way of email or calling or something. Does anyone have any idea how to go about what I am trying to do?
