April was last seen leaving Anthony's Cafe, a bar on Main Street in Norwalk, Connecticut on February 1, 1985 with her boyfriend James C. Aaron Jr. She has never been heard from again. Her car was later found near Ann Street, in the Norwalk River.
Half an hour before her disappearance, April told the police she was having an argument with James. One of her fingers was bleeding, and she said he had assaulted her. She refused to have him arrested, however, and left with him in his car at 12:30 am. He said she got out of his car three blocks later. April's mother reported her missing later that day.
Later that month, James was charged with kidnapping April. He was convicted and served nearly 6 years in prison before his 1991 release. April has never been found.
