Wonder why the 12 day delay in reporting him missing? (just curious, not inferring anything)

Darren's FB (last post July 13, day before last seen, of song "Tuesday I'll be gone". Hmm.):

Hi my name is Haley I'm his granddaughter, sometimes he liked taking fishing trips but after those twelve days had passed there was obviously something more to worry about

UPDATE: Lt. Scott Seiders, public information officer for the White County Sheriff's Office, told The Daily Citizen that the DNA comparison from the family has confirmed that the body found is that of Darren Bright.

The White County Sheriff’s Office has collected DNA swabs from family members of a Pleasant Plains 62-year-old missing since July 14 after a body was recovered from the White River in the Georgetown area Saturday, according to Lt. Scott Seiders.

Seiders, the sheriff’s office’s public information officer, said the swabs were collected Tuesday and sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for matching. He said it will probably be weeks before the body, suspected of being Darren Bright, is identified.

The body was recovered after a man fishing on the river spotted what he believed to be a dead body floating in the river around 5 p.m. Friday, Seiders said in a news release. “The fisherman marked the location and contacted the White County Sheriff’s Office,” Seiders said. “Deputies from the White County Dive Team responded and they met the fisherman in Georgetown and searched the area indicated.”
