Erin Teressa Lawrence – The Charley Project
Caucasian female. Sandy brown hair, brown eyes. Lawrence may dye her hair another color. She has the following tattoos: a design on her upper left arm at the shoulder, a unicorn's head on the upper left side of her chest, a half-moon and the words "Country girl can survive" on her hip, a panther on her right leg, and a rose on her left ankle. Photos of some of Lawrence's tattoos are posted with this case summary. Lawrence's nickname is Pepper, and she may use the last names Evans and/or Marburger.

Lawrence was last seen in Cove, Arkansas on April 2, 2020. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

Details of Disappearance​

Lawrence disappeared from Cove, Arkansas on April 2, 2020. In September 2022, an inmate from the Polk County Detention Center led police to her remains in a shallow grave in the woods west of Hatfield, Arkansas. In February 2023, Jerry Hopper pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Lawrence's death.



On * September 8, 2022, an inmate in the Polk County Detention Center took the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to a shallow grave in a heavily wooded area west of Hatfield, Arkansas. Investigators with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police processed the scene and recovered human remains.

The Arkansas State Crime Lab confirmed the remains were in fact Erin Lawrence.
