Search underway for missing woman last seen in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Police Department has asked for the public's help in locating a missing 40-year-old woman.

40-year-old Lateshia Patillo is described as being 5'6" in height and weighing about 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing her black hair in braids with brown twists and wearing a green shirt and blue jeans.

Last seen in Jacksonville on Oct 13.

She was walking with her daughter on Collins Road around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, not far from their home on Briar Ridge Court. A short time later, Patillo’s daughter returned home while Patillo continued walking.

When her mother didn’t come back, Patillo’s daughter called the police and her family began looking for her right away.

It's been a few years but she had filed an order of protection in 2015 against someone. Case No. 60DR-15-3024 Another order of protection filed in 2008 Case No. 60DR-08-404 against same individual.

She filed another order of protection against a different man in 2006. 60DR-06-5784. There's also a paternity case involving the man named in two of the orders of protection. Could the father of that child be someone of concern in her life right now? This could just as easily be a random event of opportunity - but stranger abductions are pretty rare. Well, seems her daughter/family knew right away she was in danger, she alerted police very rapidly.
Very sad, when will violence against women come to an end ?
