So, 22 minutes after the first CCTV sighting from the alley. Interesting they have it down to the minute.
So, that was him in the alley after all. It seems though that LE knew pretty soon due to OTHER vids, plate, etc, it WAS McKee and of course said nothing else. Easy flight risk that one or suicide. IMO

That's very specific. They must have some type of digital evidence to back it up.
Could a recording device have picked up the gunshots? Or perhaps they have time when the back door was opened.

Notice the offence time
I wonder if this is the break in time, which would make more sense that it was an exact time vs. actual time of the homicide. Its clear they have strong evidence of his movements.

His medical license in Illinois is still active and expires at the end of July 2026, and he never had any action against his medical license by the Illinois Medical Board.

In light of his most recent arrest, I wonder if the states where he has his medical licenses will issue an emergency suspension of his medical license pending the outcome of his trial on the murder charges.

I would like to know how he got into their house. Surely they didn’t give him a key or code to get in.
The divorce was in 2017, so 8 years ago. The children of the Tepes were 4 and 1, so, not McKee’s children so there should have been no custody issues. Their marriage was over a long time ago.
McKee just could not get over it. He had many resources to just move forward. Why he didn’t is the puzzle now.
Very sad. This is about as premeditated as it gets.

Glad he is behind bars.

Motive? Injustice Collector.

Just to clarify, there is no indication in the court records that she ever had or requested an Order of Protection against him.
True. Many divorce proceedings reflect statutory dual protection orders served to prevent access to financial accounts by either party.

Yes I can't help but think he play-acted as though he were in distress or otherwise needed some sort of help, preying on their kindness :( No way would they open the door if he was displaying his true intentions.

He didn’t even try to get away with this crime. Seems more like a “felt like he had nothing to lose” situation.

I’m guessing troves of digital info will be revealed in which he made no attempt to disguise his plan. Left casings at the scene and even drove his own car. No mask.

He didn’t consider whether he was smart or not— this was a simple, motivated killer.
Yes it is possible. He didn't care if he got caught. Suicide by prison.

We will know more when the data starts being released.

The press conference didn’t give the public any new information, really, so it’s tempting to be disappointed by it.

However, I didn’t get the impression that the police are struggling to gather evidence or to identify a suspect. I think “we don’t have a suspect” was an outright lie, to not spook the suspect. I think they do have a suspect, and they’re working ‘round the clock to assemble the evidence and plan the arrest.

The police clearly are not asking for the public’s help, nor do they seem concerned that there’s a random murderer the public might be in danger from. I got the impression that the police HAVE a lot of information and knowledge about the Tepe murders but simply can’t share it with the public because it’s premature and it would compromise the case.

Of course, I could be wrong. I can’t really explain why the press conference gave me hope… it’s just a feeling. The police’s job isn’t to keep the public informed about all the details of a case just to satisfy our curiosity, or to confirm or deny internet rumors. Their job is to identify and catch a murderer and document the evidence in a way that can lead to his conviction in court. Withholding information from the public can be a crucial part of that, and/or giving the public partial or even misleading information. It might make it easier for them to apprehend the suspect if he sleeps well at night because he heard the police say on TV that they don’t have a suspect!
Nailed it!!

I wonder if he would want a trial and has some sort of “evidence” for the ways she wronged him that he wants to air to those who will listen.
I doubt it. His motives were personal. He could not deal with rejection. That is not something that he will brag about. IMO he will take a plea. His entire goal was to hurt Monique.

You definitely don’t need good social skills to get through medical school…
Especially not if you end up choosing a specialty where your patients are unconscious for most of your time with them

The arrest affidavit is online.

According to the complaint, the only thing that linked him was surveillance from a Neighbor's camera, and him walking to and from his car, which they found in his possession in IL. No mention of any footage or links from the Tepe's home. If he wasn't linked to the car it seems they would not have enough to arrest him per details of the arresting complaint.
This seems like such a very basic story for the arrest. I guess we've seen some good ones here with lots of details and then we have this one that seems to just say this person walked to their car and left and they were in the area at the time. I sure hope they found the murder weapon or something that can be traced back to him. IMO

Many surgeons are known for having a God complex

I am thinking maybe their smart watches. They could get an exact minute that their heartrates spiked up (if they were aware enough to know what was happening) and then ended completely. :(
