One more thought.

If someone was banging urgently on your back door (with no Ring camera) in the middle of the night and feigning an emergency, yelling “Help me, help. Please help,” is there any chance you as a compassionate “Big Brother” type and medically trained professional might impulsively open the door? But when you do a six-foot, 200-lb man pushes you back into the house with a gun in your face.

Grabbing at straws, I guess. OMO.

Why would the ex not take the opportunity to carry this out against Monique when Spencer was at work? Why both?
I think the multiple gunshots to him and less to her say enough as to why this didn’t happen this way

I wonder how long he’s had that office? How can he keep those office hrs even with a PA and still have a practice in Rockford? Did he have hospital privileges at any Columbus hospital? Didn’t he just buy a Chicago, condo?

I have remarked earlier that he didn’t seem to be stalking her immediately after residency. He could have found a job somewhere around Columbus …but he went to Vegas, then Rockford.

He could almost have walked to/from that office to their house, slept there.

Vitals.com shows that Dr. Michael David McKee also has an office located at the Ohio State Department of Nephrology, 395 W. 12th Ave. in Columbus, OH with M-F business hours listed.

It's a Ohio State University medical centre. Possibly just historic related back to his med school training? Interesting if it is recent though but I suspect not.

It’s certainly possible, but at that point, a masked man has already broken into your property. Why wouldn’t this person ask for help at the front door?

I think this approach would be more likely to trigger a call to LE. I’m more of the opinion that he got inside undetected somehow and ambushed them upstairs.

Now if he's seeing patients in Columbus, he has to have an Ohio medical license to practice medicine in Ohio.

And he currently does not have an Ohio medical license.

Could this be from over a decade ago when he had a training certificate with the Ohio Medical Board?

I don't see how he could see patients in Columbus if he doesn't have an Ohio medical license to practice medicine in Ohio.

I think so too. I still have a searchable address from 20 years ago, lol, online.

yes that is correct he is not the only doctor listed but it is a group suit
Likely his medical group had insurance and weren't likely to be personally in the hook in the event of a verdict. But, a peer review or similar process may have jeopardized his professional options. JMO

I’m a bit behind; but does anyone think the ex husband found a way in before the murders and waited for them?? That’s honestly my own logical conclusion because I can’t imagine this couple opening the door for anyone so early in the morning.

The more I think about it, he probably shot Spencer in front of her to torture and inflict the maximum hurt and fear. We will obviously find out more as time goes on, but I don’t think he shot them both when they were asleep. As much as we all hope.

Based on what little we know now I will be surprised to learn he tried to cover up any of this. I'm expecting him to plead guilty. JMO
I’m predicting “psychotic break”.

I suspect if MM had an Ohio medical license and had a practice at OSU Medical Center, I don't believe the Tepe Family would have lived in their Weinland Park home as it would have been too close for comfort.

here is the link to the site https://www.clarkcountycourts.us/Anonymous/default.aspx
go to district civil / criminal records and enter the info of McKee , Michael make sure you do the captcha at top and you can search by case number or party ... the case on this is
Register of Actions
Case No. A-24-893545-C
Thanks to another member for highlighting that this had been posted. Missed it whilst trying to catch up.

I'm rubbish at understanding court records but does it seem to apply that MM doesn't have legal representation in the complaint? He's the only defendant that doesn't have the attorney listed against him.

[ETA: just wondering if it says something about his state of mind if that's the case].

He was doing his residency when they divorced (making $50K a year) and Monique remarried before he started making any good money. Don't think spousal support had anything to do with his motive.
In Illinois if you remarry you no longer receive spousal support. There would be no child support either since they didn't have any children together.

Related to MM possibly having the door lock code: every time I use the outdoor keypad for our garage door opener, I am aware someone nearby could potentially note the pattern of my fingers as I press the numbers.

This may sound too paranoid but I’ve also wondered if MM could have strategically hidden a spy camera on a tree or utility pole where he could observe the homeowners pressing the keys and learn their code. MOO.
Very good point. For that same reason I always cover my hand when I put in my PIN at the ATM.

Haven't heard much more about the dog other than he was unharmed and is with family. I'm surprised he didn't alert since most likely he did not know MM. But maybe he did and Spencer got up to see what was going on and that's why he was found beside the bed.

I wonder if he recently tried to make contact with her thru social media?

As for that office.. no medical student is an M.D. yet nor has his own office. It says 12 years experience. Wait…that condo in Chicago…do we know if he bought or sold it? He wasn’t planning a move with hopes of a reconciliation?

I thought maybe he let the dog out when he entered the property. JMO
