Arthur Lampitt, then of Illinois, was proud of his new Thunderbird back in 1963. He wasn't happy when he smashed it into a truck though, breaking his hip in the process. As for the car - well, that didn't fare too well either. How come even the seven-inch turn signal lever had just disappeared into thin air? Real strange what can happen in a car wreck....
Recently, a sore and swelling arm has provided Arthur with the answer to two of his life's little mysteries. One; why his arm set off airport alarms. Two, where that missing turn signal lever ended up. Embedded in his arm for 51 years. He hadn't noticed.
Docs have now safely removed the offending article and Arthur thinks he's going to make it into a large pendant. Or something.
