Attention Walmart Shoppers!~!

I have a game plan when I go in too, but it never works. Always get sidetracked by something the kiddos have to have. The only clothing items we buy from Wal-Mart are panties & socks. My teen would be mortified if I had her dress in Wally World clothes so it's off to the mall- Kohl's-Old Navy-Abercrombie- etc, etc, etc. $$$$$$

Is it ok to admit that I have bought things to wear from Walmart. I buy my jeans and lots of everyday tops there. They last as long as the more expensive things in department stores. I have not found any work clothes or church clothes there. But I save a lot of money on the other things.

LOL. I HAVE to satisfy my licorice fix as well.

Walmart has perfectly fine basic clothes. It is NOT fashion, but why spend $30 on a simple t-shirt when you can pay $7??

What I don't like about WalMart is that it (and others like WalMart) has wiped out all of the independent stores, and thus there is no variety in shopping anymore. I do most of my real clothes and house decor shopping online so that I don't have to look like everybody else in town. Unfortunately where I live the only conveniently located place to shop is WalMart so I give them more of my $$$ than I would like to.

I actually think it is fine to buy your clothes from wherever you are comfortable wearing them. I have sweaters from Target, slacks from JC Penney, etc, a wide variety from alot of different stores. For me it has always been an issue of height- I'm 5'10" and it is hard to find slacks and jeans long enough so when I do find them I could care less what brand they are.
In todays world though- if your kid is in anything not brand name at school it can be a torment and I won't put my kiddos through that- so -sadly I have contributed to the designer label craze.

Im cheap as the day is long. I scrounge the good will, consignment shops and the Internet for vintage clothes. Its not the price or label I dont like about walmart wear, its the same ness ( I know thats not a real word but it describes what I mean). I am about as non fashion conscience as anyone. I buy and wear what fits my style rather then whats in style.
