Daughter Accused of Killing Her Elderly Mother Through Starvation and Neglect
On December 30, 2024, after a call for a welfare check, 82 year old Lillie Mae Sapp was found stuck to a mattress with bed sores and signs of serious neglect. She weighed only 80 pounds, had bed sores that exposed her bones, and her mattress was soaked in filth and infested with insects.
The rest of the home was filled with roaches and dirty dishes. her daughter, Tyrossale Peak, claimed she was fine and was under hospice care. However, records show the last time she received care was in June of that year.
Ms. Sapp died three weeks later. I could not find an obituary for Ms. Sapp. Tyrossale was arrested back in January and now has been indicted for felony murder and 2 counts of elder neglect. She was arrested on the grand jury warrant on July 25 and her bond was set at $11,200 bond.
Peak, may have worked in social service. Her mom held on for nearly six months after hospice was stopped. She may have lived a healthier, longer life had she been properly cared for. MOO. As a middle schooler, I lived on the same street, a few houses away.
