NSW Police Force

The NSW Police Force is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a toddler who has been missing from the Grafton area since Monday morning.

At about 8.15am (8 April 2019), police attended an address on North Street, Grafton, to execute a Child Recovery Order issued due to extreme concerns for the welfare of 22-month-old Aria Jane Killiby.

Officers searched the address; however, the child and her father, 24-year-old Leroy Killiby, were not located.

Aria Killiby is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, blonde hair and brown eyes.

Leroy Killiby is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, of medium build, about 170cm-175cm tall, with brown hair and a brown beard. He has recently shaved one side of his head and tattooed the words ‘Aria Jane’ with a wasp motif.

They are believed to be travelling in a red Jeep Cherokee, with Queensland registration plates 131-XDG. It’s thought they could have possibly travelled to Queensland.

Police are asking the public to be on alert and report any sightings of this man or car. He is known to frequent Tweed Heads and Queensland.

Ring Triple Zero (000) to provide any information about this abduction.

Toddler and father missing in New South Wales | Daily Mail Online

The urgent search for a little girl and her father continues, despite the dad going on social media to deny 'false allegations' of any wrongdoing.

An amber alert remains in place to find 22-month-old Aria Jane Killiby, whom police allege has been missing from northern New South Wales since Monday morning.

[...]

Late Wednesday afternoon, Mr Killiby took to the NSW Police Facebook page to respond to the 'false allegations'.

He claimed he had previously arranged with Aria's mother to have his daughter until April 9.

'False allegations have been made against myself and orders have been made without out me knowing or having the opportunity to defend Aria or myself,' Mr Killiby posted.

'There was a recovery order put in place without me knowing or even told there was a mention. I was at the court house that day with Aria, I was lodging affidavits for the next day.

'Don't know how they can do this to people and now there's all this media attention. I have court in Lismore tomorrow if anyone wants to come with a good lawyer for my daughter and myself.'

[...]

Police have reason to believe they could have possibly travelled to Queensland.

Officers are asking the public to be on alert and report any sightings of the man or car. He is known to frequent Tweed Heads and south-east Queensland.

The police force issued an amber alert on Wednesday asking anyone with 'information about this abduction' to ring triple zero.

Police urge anybody with information to contact 000 immediately.

If it is all just a big mix-up, he should have no problem bringing Aria to the Police Station. I'm worried about this child.
