Police appeal for witnesses into death of Tamworth baby
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 21-month-old, Baylen Pendergast, from West Tamworth who died in late November 2013.
About 9.30pm on Thursday 28 November 2013, emergency services were called to a house on Gosse Court, Westdale, after reports of a baby being found unconscious.
On arrival CPR was taken over by Ambulance Service of NSW Paramedics from a neighbour, and he was airlifted to Randwick Children’s Hospital for treatment.
At 10.15pm on Saturday 30 November 2013, the child’s life support was switched off and he died.
An investigation was commenced by Oxley LAC - NSW Police Force into the circumstances surrounding the death of the boy, and a brief will be prepared for the Coroner.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information leading up to and surrounding the death of the boy to contact Tamworth Detectives on 6768 2999 or via Crime Stoppers.
