What bothers me about this case is the massive number of years neillfraser was sentenced to with seemingly bugger all evidence whilst Borce Restiveski got 9 years for killing his wife.

Yes, how can that be justice?

Is there any chance Bob Chappell was dismembered and the tide took the body parts away or he was mixed up with the mob

Tasmania Police has announced an independent review after it was revealed officers secretly recorded private and legally privileged conversations between lawyers and clients at Risdon Prison for months while trying to make a case against convicted murderer Susan Neill-Fraser's lawyer.

Police bugged a meeting room at the prison in Hobart on June 15, 2017, to record a meeting with lawyer Jeffrey Ian Thompson the next day but then failed to switch off the recording devices — one recording audio and video and the other just audio — for two months.

Justice advocates have said the surveillance amounted to a "serious violation of confidentiality" and have called for a commission of inquiry.

'Basically been gagged': Battle for documents in killer's parole challenge

Convicted murderer Susan Neill-Fraser's legal team is fighting for access to documents as part of an appeal against parole conditions that prevent her from speaking to the media.

The 71-year-old grandmother served 13 years behind bars for killing partner Bob Chappell on the couple's yacht moored in Hobart on Australia Day 2009.

She was released on parole in 2022 and recently launched legal action against a condition preventing her from communicating directly or indirectly to media to "claim her alleged innocence".
