A WOMAN’S body has been found in the sand dunes behind Tallow Beach near Byron Bay.

It is believed her body had been there some time before being discovered.

“At this stage, the woman’s identity and the cause of her death are unknown,” a NSW police statement said.

Police investigating the discovery of a woman’s body near Byron Bay do not believe the death is suspicious.

About 11.20am today (Monday 9 June), police were called to Tallow Beach after reports a body had been found in the sand dunes.

It looks like nothing else was ever said about this case. I was trying to find the name of the woman as I have a few friends from the area. It sounds like it might have been a suicide. Very sad news.

A woman whose body was found at Tallow Beach, Suffolk Park, last Monday has been identified as 20-year-old local resident Hana-Lee Juhasz.
